James Park

James Memorial Park

James Park offers a 1/2 mile walking path, a large and small pavilion, a pond, a sand volleyball court, basketball courts, a dog park, and a tot lot. The Veteran's Memorial is located near the Derstine Pavilion. The rustic Hafler Trail, 1 mile in length (follow the blue blazes) offers a scenic woodland walk beginning near the Dog Park and continuing on Hafler Road to terminate back at the rear of the Park. The Pennridge Little League leases the baseball field in the center of our Park. Both the Derstine Pavilion and the Markley pavilion can be rented for special events.

Veteran's Memorial

Veteran’s Memorial

The Park & Recreation Committee, with your help, has received 65 additional names to be added to the Veteran’s Memorial at James Park. The memorial plaques are designed to honor and remember West Rockhill residents (past or present) who served in our military. We anticipate a dedication ceremony near Memorial Day 2020!

The committee is currently raising funds to cover the cost of the engraving and installation of the new plaque. If you are interested in supporting this project, checks can be mailed to the Township. Please note on the memo line: Veteran’s Memorial. All donations are greatly appreciated.

If you wish to purchase a Veteran's Memorial Brick for the patio, please fill out a Veteran's Memorial Brick Order Form and submit it to the Township. There are small or larger bricks available for purchase to honor a service person or loved one. If you wish to add a Veteran's name to the plaque memorial, please complete and return a Plaque Order Form.

Dog Park at James Memorial Park

Located behind the baseball field, the Dog Park is adjacent to the walking path for easy access directly next to the Park Rules and waste station. Stop in to visit the new Dog Park and meet new friends! And always, please be considerate to all dogs and other residents.
