Clean Up Day

THE GREAT AMERICAN CLEAN-UP DAY  WEEK OF WEST ROCKHILL

2024 Great Pennsylvania Cleanup

The Great American Cleanup of PA is an annual statewide cleanup campaign. Tens of thousands of volunteers statewide have made a difference by collecting and disposing or recycling over 2 million pounds of trash and thousands of abandoned tires each year.

We are fortunate to live in a township as beautiful as West Rockhill and it’s up to all of us to do our part.

West Rockhill Township cleanup event will be held from Saturday  April 20th thru Sunday April 28th.

Please consider participating in this worthwhile event that benefits us all. Anyone can help: an individual, family, civic group, scout group, business group, hunting or fishing club, or a sports team. Gloves, bags, and safety equipment provided by PennDot can be picked up at the Township building between 8:00 -4:00 weekdays. Township trucks will be available to pick up trash bags along the roadside for disposal throughout the following week.

The Township will award four $50.00 checks to randomly drawn names of two adults and two youth participants.

If you would like to participate and have not done so previously, please contact Shari Frerichs representing the Northern Division (roads north of Ridge Rd as well as sections of Rt. 309) at 215-257-4277, kidsnkats@verizon.net or Rita Cipriano representing the Southern Division (roads south of Ridge Road) at 215-723-9215, rjcip@yahoo.com.

Become a conscientious neighbor by picking up trash along your property line or along your road throughout the year. While taking a walk, take along a bag to pick up some of the trash. Every Litter Bit Helps!
