The Great American Cleanup of PA is an annual statewide cleanup campaign. We are fortunate to live in a Township as beautiful as West Rockhill. However, the pressures of an increasing population which brings traffic and commercialization, threatens the cleanliness of our roadways and neighborhoods.
We urge our neighbors as well as local businesses, civic groups and clubs to join us
this year to pick up trash along West Rockhill roadways. This event is scheduled Saturday, April 18 to Sunday April 26, in conjunction with Earth Day, which is April 22.
Gloves, bags and safety equipment provided by PennDot can be picked up at the Township building between 8 AM to 3:30 PM weekdays. Township trucks will be available to pick up trash bags along the roadside for disposal throughout the following week. The Township will award four $50 checks to randomly drawn participants.
If you would like to participate and have not done so previously, please contact Shari Frerichs at 215-257-4277, kidsnkats@ verizon.net.
Also volunteers needed for cleanup of sections of Route 309. The cleanup dates are Sunday April 19 th and 26 th. Contact Shari Frerichs if you can help. Any amount of time is appreciated.
