West Rockhill Township - Snow and Ice Emergency Announcement
With the upcoming snowstorm expected to impact our area, the West Rockhill Township Administrator has the authority to declare a snow and ice emergency if necessary. Please take a moment to review the following important details to ensure everyone's safety and compliance:
Snow Emergency Guidelines
Snow Emergency Declaration
A snow emergency may be declared to facilitate safe traffic flow and address hazardous road conditions.
Notification will be shared via radio, television, newspapers, and other available media outlets. Updates on the termination of the emergency will follow the same channels.
Parking Restrictions
During a declared snow emergency, parking is strictly prohibited on designated snow emergency routes.
All cul-de-sac streets in West Rockhill Township are considered snow emergency routes.
Violations and Penalties
Vehicles parked on snow emergency routes during an emergency may be subject to fines up to $600 and additional costs.
What You Can Do to Prepare
Move your vehicles off designated snow emergency routes.
Avoid unnecessary travel during the storm to allow road crews to clear streets efficiently.
Stay informed by monitoring local news outlets for updates on snow emergency declarations and weather conditions.

Volunteer Opportunities – Join Our Committees!
West Rockhill Township is seeking community-minded individuals to serve in important roles that help shape and guide our township.
We currently have two exciting volunteer opportunities available:
Conservation Committee – 1 Member Needed
UCC (Building) Board of Appeals – 1 Member Needed
Joint Rec Authority - 1 Member Needed
These committees play a vital role in ensuring the preservation of our community, help manage and run the Holiday House Pool and review appeals of the UCC Building Code. Your involvement can make a significant difference!
