Perkasie Regional Authority is proposing to construct a gravity sanitary sewer extension along Ridge Road in West Rockhill Township. The project will start at the current western terminus at 200 Ridge Road and extend (westerly) to the Route 309 bypass. The project will install 3,650 lineal feet of 8” gravity sewer and connect 29 existing houses to the public sewer system.
Connection to the public sewer main is voluntary, except for when the property is sold. If the property is sold, the property must connect to the public sewer. If connection is made on or before December 31, 2021, the estimated tapping fee for each dwelling unit or equivalent dwelling unit shall be $19,825. The Authority will also offer a 4-year payment program to all residences connecting on or before December 31, 2021. If connection is made after December 31, 2021, the estimated tapping fee shall be $31,855 per dwelling unit or equivalent dwelling unit. The final value of the tapping fees shall be determined at the end of the construction, when all of the costs are available.
If any existing on-lot sewage disposal system for any of the houses in the service area fails, DEP and/or the Bucks County Department of Health will not permit the installation of a replacement system. The homeowner must connect to the public sewers since the house is located in a public sewer service area.
A copy of the plan can be viewed on the Township’s website (below) or from 9:00am to 3:00pm daily at the Perkasie Regional Authority building at 150 Ridge Road, Suite 1, Sellersville, PA 18960.
