It is unlawful to “throw, deposit, place, or dump…upon any street or highway or upon any public or privately owned land without the owner’s consent…”

Littering or dumping trash, furniture, electronics, animal carcasses, grass or brush clippings, construction materials, etc. along roadsides is prohibited. Violations are misdemeanors and punishable by fines of up to $1000.00 or 90 days in jail, or both. (Ordinance 167)

Residents are asked to be observant of suspicious vehicles and activity. If you witness roadside dumping, note the vehicle description, license plate number and dumping location and call the Pennridge Regional Police Non-Emergency line: 215-257-5104 immediately.
