The West Rockhill Historical Society is holding an

Electronic Waste Recycling Event

Saturday, October 21, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Township building

For $10 per car, the following will be accepted:  computer towers, tablets, printers, keyboards, laptop computers, servers, flat screen TVs and monitors, game consoles, stereos and radios, cell phones, phone systems, calculators and small appliances. Due to environmental issues for safe disposal and fees, CRT monitors and conventional TVS will be accepted for $30 per unit. Air conditioners and large appliances will not be accepted.

ALSO:

The Bucks County Planning Commission has released a 2017 resource guide for disposal of your old TVs.

Your waste hauler is not permitted to accept electronic devices such as laptops, computers, monitors, keyboards, printers, and televisions with the regular trash. Under the PA Covered Device Recycling Act of 2010 (Act 108 of 2010), these items must be sent to an electronics recycler. The law also requires manufacturers of covered devices to host one-day events to collect, transport, and recycle these items or institute permanent collection programs or mail-back options. This section of the law has not been implemented. Please contact your state representative to request action.

Bucks County does not collect Electronics at its annual Hazardous Waste Collection events.
