While West Rockhill Township maintains the ditches along township roads, residents are responsible for installation and routine maintenance of their own driveway pipes (Resolution No. 98-07). The Township’s rural roads are vulnerable to flooding and icing when driveway pipes are clogged, crushed, or in need of maintenance, creating hazardous conditions. Chronically flooded or frozen roadways are also subject to rapid deterioration, with taxpayer dollars spent on repairs or costly repaving. Please inspect your driveway pipe seasonally and clear out debris that may be obstructing the flow of storm water through the ditches. If you see any driveway pipe or stormwater issues during a storm event, please take a photo and inform the township of the location with the photo. We will investigate the problem.
